As of January 2010, the manufacturing of domestic air conditioning equipment using R-22 refrigerant has been discontinued by law of the US Government. They also began to scale back the production of the R-22 refrigerant with an elimination date by the year 2020.
If you have an air conditioning unit that still uses R-22 refrigerant, we strongly recommend you consider replacing your existing system with
a new energy efficient system that uses
R-410A refrigerant.
